Wimbledon is one of four Grand Slams on the tennis circuit, and is the only one still played on the game’s original surface of grass. As the oldest tennis tournament in the world, having been running since 1877, it is generally considered to be the most prestigious of championships. A vast number of spectators from all around the world visit the lawn tennis event over its two week period every year.
