Greek election

Air Charter Service arranged air travel for around 8,000 people for an election in Greece. ACS used two A320s and two B737-800s to operate 97 flights from the UK, Germany and Cyprus to 11 locations in Greece and back. We provided ground representation for 80 flights exactly as requested, all flights arrived within 15 minutes of schedule and our client won the election.

Earthquake relief

In January 2010 Haiti was hit by a major earthquake. Within 15 minutes of the first call from the UK Department for International Development, ACS had prepared a quote for an initial humanitarian relief flight, together with a proposed schedule and estimated payload. The flight was airborne within 19 hours, carrying 80 search and rescue personnel, four rescue dogs, an ACS representative and 7.5 tonnes of equipment, medical supplies and water. As a result of the UK team’s rapid arrival in the disaster zone, seven people were brought out alive from the rubble.
