European Tour
A tour manager representing an American rock musician called upon Air Charter Service to arrange travel for a tour around Europe. With a vast amount of equipment contributing to excess luggage, which would have led to heavy extra charges when flying commercially, ACS opted to source the versatile Fairchild Metro 3 - a commuter turboprop, offering excellent economics and long range potential.
The metro completed a total of nineteen legs for the musician and entourage, cris-crossing Scandanvia, The Baltic sates and Central Europe, before finishing off with longer flights to the UK and Iberian Peninisula. Consistently departing from VIP terminals, everyone involved with the European tour was impressed with the experience, which involved an ever-changing schedule with tight departure times.

Music Festival
Whilst a rock band was on its European tour, a concert promoter looked at Air Charter Service in order to add the band to the line-up of their festival. ACS sourced the ATR 42 Combi commuter turboprop, of which there a very few based in Europe, for the leg from Geneva to Gadansk. Such a bespoke aircraft was the most economical way for the group to travel as it is a propeller aircraft, as opposed to a jet, and therefore costs less to run.
The ability to transport the low passenger number and 2,200 kgs of outsize band equipment, meant that this charter hinged upon the ACS account manager’s specialist knowledge of the aircraft performance, loadability and cargo/combi hold dimensions, at the same time allowing for the weight and balance of the aircraft to be within safe operational limits. All involved were extremely pleased with the way this was handled from start to finish.
